Physiotherapy Centre
Modern Physiotherapy Centre is a pioneer physiotherapy clinic in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India Since 1981, more than Four decades and provides wide range of physiotherapy and rehabilitation services for the needed peoples across Tanjore in the clinic, hospital and as home services.
We provide “State of the Art” physiotherapy and rehabilitation services with most advanced equipments from various countries and different methods of exercise regime for client needs.
We are proud to say that, this is the first Physiotherapy clinic started in Thanjavur District and to do service to the mankind for a very long period and still continuing.
We have highly qualified, dedicated and experienced team of physiotherapist in different specialization in physiotherapy. We are the pioneer team in physiotherapy with more than ten qualified and experienced physiotherapists working under one roof.

The Visionary Behind Modern Physiotherapy Centre
He was one among the very few people who joined the Diploma in Physiotherapy course at Madras Medical College Hospital during 1965 and completed in 1967. As he was a best candidate, he was offered to join Tamilnadu Government Service the very next day of his internship training.
He was appointed by the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University, Chennai as an external examiner for undergraduate program exams at Government Rehabilitation Institute, Periyamilaguparai, Trichy for several years.
He was honored by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists for 25 years of dedicated service in the field of Physiotherapy awarded as “Luminary of Physiotherapy” during the 54th National Conference of IAP, January’ 1999 held in Chennai.
He was honored by the Forum for Physiotherapists & Meenakshi Hospital with an award the for service rendered in the field of Physiotherapy during the 1st Physiotherapy Conference held during September’2017 at Meenakshi Hospital, Thanjavur
Honoured with the “Life Time Achievement Award” during the CME Program by Sri Naadi Hospital, Pattukottai, during September 2019

He was one among the first batch people who have joined Master of Physiotherapy course at Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute during 1999 and specialized in Orthopaedics & Traumatology.
He has completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy during the year 1998 from the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University, Chennai and Diploma in Sports Medicine & Sports Physiotherapy during the year 1999 from Vidyasagar University, West Bengal, and Trained in Musculoskeletal Manipulation Therapy during 2001 from MAANIPS (An International Foundation for Manipulation), Chennai and also Fellowship in Orthopaedic Rehabilitation during 2011 from Apollo Medvarsity, Hyderabad, Fellowship in Radiology Course for Physiotherapists during 2021 from International Digital Teachings, Bangalore, Fellowship in Osteopathy & Manipulative Therapy during 2024 from SBS University, Dehradun & Ideal Healthcare, Australia
Prof.Dr.Ramesh Kumar is in the Panel of Examiner’s for Post graduate & under graduate programme in various Govt. Universities & Deemed Universities of North India and South India for the last 24 years.
He is the Joint Secretary for The Indian Association of Physiotherapists, Tamilnadu, since 2020.
Arappani Thilagam Award
Honoured by awarding the title “Arappani Thilagam” in a function held on 30th November 2014 at Thanjavur for doing free physiotherapy services in various free medical camps conducted by the Vallalar Charitable Trust in and around thanjavur district.
